AIH and Oman Investment Authority Expand Cooperation on Potential Investment in Azer Turk Bank

As part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, the Azerbaijan Oman Joint Investment Fund signed a non-binding Term Sheet setting out the key terms for a potential investment in “Azer-Turk Bank” OJSC (ATB).

Under the Term Sheet, the Azerbaijan Oman Joint Investment Fund will consider acquiring a strategic non-controlling stake in the capital of ATB. The potential investment is envisaged to be made through the issuance of additional shares.

The signing of the Term Sheet marks a new stage in investment cooperation between AIH and OIA and further reflects the parties’ interest in exploring prospective strategic opportunities in Oman and Azerbaijan’s financial sector, among other sectors.

At the ceremony, the parties emphasized that the investment initiative would make an important contribution to strengthening the long-term investment partnership between Azerbaijan and Oman, expanding institutional ties in various sectors and creating sustainable economic value for both countries.
