A series of meetings were held with representatives of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the World Bank who were on a business trip to Azerbaijan upon the initiative of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH), on October 12.

The representatives visited Baku as part of the joint project "Assessment of corporate governance in Azerbaijan Investment Holding and in the state enterprises in its portfolio" which is being implemented by the OECD and partially financed by the World Bank.

During the meetings, there was an exchange of views on topics such as the corporate governance standards applied by the AIH in the portfolio companies in recent years, the characteristics of the areas in which the companies operate, investment management within the enterprises, and the internal control systems of the portfolio companies.

Along with the AIH leadership, the senior executives from several large state-owned enterprises (portfolio companies) under AIH management also participated in the meeting.

On October 11-12, the OECD and World Bank representatives met with senior executives in portfolio companies within the framework of this project. They discussed the measures taken so far and could be taken in the future to corporate governance in state-owned enterprises.
