Azersigorta Board of Directors holds inaugural meeting

The inaugural meeting of the Board of Directors of Azersigorta OJSC was held on July 29.

Chaired by Azer Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors, the meeting was attended by Board members, the Azersigorta OJSC Chairman, other company officials, and representatives from Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH).

At the outset, the Chairman and Board members expressed their gratitude to the President for the confidence bestowed upon them.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Bayramov emphasized that Azersigorta, operating under the brand name of the State Insurance Company, is a state enterprise with a wide network of branches across the country. He stressed the importance of aligning the company's operations with advanced practices and modern management principles while simultaneously enhancing efficiency.

Mr. Bayramov expressed confidence that the measures implemented by AIH would significantly improve Azersigorta's operational efficiency.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of directives outlined in relevant Presidential Decrees and Orders, discussed the principles of Azersigorta OJSC's corporate governance system, and addressed other critical issues about the company's operations.

The State Insurance Commercial Company was reorganized into Azersigorta Open Joint Stock Company according to Presidential Order No. 16 of July 16, 2022. This order also established a Board of Directors to oversee the company's overall management and control.
