Azerbaijan Railways Supervisory Board reviews "Corporate Strategy 2030"
The "Corporate Strategy 2030" was discussed at a regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman and members of the Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Railways, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Azerbaijan Investment Holding, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and McKinsey & Company.
Rashad Nabiyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Minister of Digital Development and Transport, emphasized the importance of considering three key factors in the railway development strategy: cost efficiency, improved service quality, and reduced environmental impact.
The Minister shared his views and proposals on investment, digital transformation, human resource management improvements, integration of railways into the international transport system, and other strategic considerations.
Rashad Nabiyev highlighted the importance of drawing on the experience of comparable railway companies operating in similar geographic regions, while also considering the organization's future financial stability and the effective return on public investment.
Ruslan Alikhanov, AIH CEO, noted that this document, which defines the Company's strategic goals and action plan, provides a comprehensive overview of railway transport development until 2030.
Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, stated that the development of the railway network requires a conceptual approach and that the Corporate Strategy Plan encompasses all relevant areas.
A presentation on the project's progress was given, followed by an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
