On October 25, a hybrid session on "State-Owned Holding Companies: National Practices and OECD Recommendations" was held as part of the 39th meeting of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Working Group on State Ownership and Privatisation Practices.

The event was attended by high-level representatives from the OECD Secretariat, as well as numerous member, partner, and observer countries. Officials from Azerbaijan, Austria, Singapore, Greece, Slovenia, Peru, and Finland presented an overview of state-owned enterprise (SOE) governance practices in their respective countries.

Ruslan Alikhanov, Chief Executive Officer of Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH), delivered a presentation outlining AIH's mission, organizational structure, activities, and achievements to date. He also discussed future plans for AIH's portfolio companies.

At the conclusion of the session, participants discussed the advantages of various SOE governance models and identified key issues, including the importance of aligning national practices with the OECD's internationally recognized "Guidelines on Corporate Governance of SOEs."
