AIH and Samruk-Kazyna sign deal to build mutually beneficial collaboration
A delegation led by Ruslan Alikhanov, CEO of Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH), conducted a working visit to Kazakhstan on October 20-21, meeting with top management of Samruk-Kazyna SWF. AIH representatives visited Samruk-Kazyna headquarters in Nur-Sultan, discussing cooperation in transportation and transit, energy, infrastructure, and other sectors, as well as strategies to improve industrialization and public welfare in both countries. They also met with their counterparts for experience-sharing sessions.
Following discussions and consultations, AIH and Samruk-Kazyna signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to establish a strong foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration.
AIH CEO Ruslan Alikhanov stated, “This document will mark a new beginning and play a crucial role in strengthening the already strong ties between our countries, and our mutual efforts will yield successful outcomes for both AIH and Samruk-Kazyna in the future.”
Speaking at the signing, Samruk-Kazyna CEO Almassadam Satkaliyev said, “Our cooperation will continue to grow stronger and deeper and develop further. The Memorandum of Cooperation we signed today enables us to reach a qualitatively new level of interaction between both organizations and will provide a basis for the growth of the two economies.”
During the visit, the AIH delegation also met with the leadership of Baiterek National Management Holding, a key institution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to discuss potential cooperation in the banking and finance sectors.
Samruk-Kazyna Joint Stock Company was established in 2008 by decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The sole shareholder of the Fund is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fund is a business corporation—an investment holding—whose mission is to improve the national welfare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensure long-term sustainability for future generations.
