AIH and Samruk-Kazyna signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to lay a solid foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration

The delegation led by Mr. Ruslan Alikhanov, the CEO of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH) met with top management of Samruk-Kazyna SWF in a working visit to Kazakhstan on 20-21 October. Representatives of AIH visited Samruk-Kazyna HQ in Nur-Sultan, discussed cooperation in transportation-transit, energy, infrastructure and other sectors, as well as strategies to improve industrialization and people welfare of both countries, and met with their counterparts during experience exchange sessions. 

Following discussions and consultations, AIH and Samruk-Kazyna signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to lay a solid foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration.

AIH CEO Mr. Ruslan Alikhanov stressed: “This document will mark a new beginning and play a crucial role in strengthening the already strong ties between our countries, and our mutual efforts will have successful outcomes both for AIH and Samruk-Kazyna in the future.”

Speaking on the occasion Samruk-Kazyna CEO Mr. Almassadam Satkaliyev said: “Our cooperation will continue to grow stronger and deeper and develop further. The Memorandum of Cooperation we signed today enables us to reach qualitatively a new level of interaction between both organisations and will provide a basis for the growth of the two economies.

On the sidelines of the visit program AIH delegation also met with the leadership of “Baiterek” National Management Holding, one of the key institutions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and discussed potential cooperation in the banking and finance sectors.

"Samruk-Kazyna" Joint Stock Company was established in 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The sole shareholder of the Fund is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fund is a business corporation - an investment holding, whose mission is to improve the national welfare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensure long-term sustainability for future generations
