The Board of Directors of Azersigorta held its first meeting

The first meeting of the Board of Directors of Azersigorta OJSC which was established by the Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on July 16, 2022, was held.

The meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Deputy Minister of Finance Azar Bayramov, was attended by members of the Board of Directors, CEO of Azersigorta OJSC and other members of the Company and representatives of Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH).

At the outset, the Chairman and the members of the Board of Directors thanked the President for his confidence in them.

Chair of the Board of Directors, Azar Bayramov stressed in his speech, that the State Insurance Company is a state enterprise with a wide network of branches throughout the republic, which was operating under the brand "Azersigorta". The Board of Directors will endeavor towards increasing the efficiency of the Company's activities within the framework of best practices and modern management requirements, improving its management considering modern corporate governance standards.

Mr. Bayramov expressed his confidence that the works implemented by AIH for improving the activity of Azersigorta will give positive results.

Implementation of the follow-up tasks issued from relevant decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the principles of Azersigorta’s corporate management system, other relevant issues - related to the activities of the Company in connection with the implementation of the listed issues and relevant assignments, have been given.

The State Insurance Commercial Company reorganized into "Azersigorta" Open Joint Stock Company according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 16, 2022. According to the Order of the President dated July 16, 2022, a Board of Directors was established to oversee management and supervise Company's activity.
