Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy and Chairman of SOCAR Supervisory Board, Mikayil Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, and members of the Supervisory Board visited the residential complex being built by the company's "Neftchi" housing cooperative on May 4.

The construction of the residential complex, located in the Bibiheybat area of Sabail district in Baku, started in 2020. The complex will consist of eight buildings with a total of 676 apartments.

Two 17-story buildings, completed in 2023, offer 252 apartments, including one-, two-, and three-room units. The apartments are fully renovated and equipped with utilities. Construction of the remaining six buildings is currently underway.

During a meeting with residents and the Supervisory Board, it was emphasized that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev consistently prioritizes the social security and improvement of living conditions for oil and gas industry workers. It was noted that the measures to improve the social conditions of oil workers will continue.

Last year, the apartments in already completed buildings were distributed among SOCAR employees on the waiting list. Among the new homeowners are SOCAR employees who participated in the First and Second Karabakh Wars.

The apartment ownership documents were presented to the owners at the event. The employees receiving house expressed their gratitude for the support provided in improving their housing situation.

The participants also visited the apartments to familiarize themselves with the conditions created.
