Representatives of Chinese Telecom Company visited CIRPA

A delegation led by Jun Zhou, Vice President of FiberHome International Technologies Co. Ltd. of the People’s Republic of China, visited the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (CIRPA) of AzerGold CJSC located in the Dashkasan region.

The visit was aimed at discussing cooperation opportunities in applying digital solutions and modern technologies in the companies managed by the Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH) and in assessing the current technical opportunities in production process in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between AIH and FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co. Ltd. The guests visited the Chovdar gold mine, infrastructure facilities at CIRPA, including the newly launched Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) Plant, and were able to watch all the stages of the production process.

They were informed about the activities of AzerGold CJSC in environmental protection, providing safe and healthy working conditions during its production activities based on progressive international experiences and standards. The applied modern technologies, especially the modern equipment at the CIL Plant, and the established modern management system for employee health and safety were highlighted.

Following the visit, a meeting was organized between the parties to discuss topics on the 5G network in the production area, IoT solutions on equipment, devices and systems, boosting smart control and management systems for HSE, integration opportunities for operational and control units and recording devices, the existing technical maintenance plan and warning systems at the enterprise. 

At the end of the meeting, the Chinese company decided to prepare and submit proposals in accordance with the technical requirements and technological needs of AzerGold, and then consider cooperation opportunities.
