Development of relations with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development discussed

Opinions were exchanged on the current state of relations with the bank, implemented joint projects and opportunities for expanding cooperation during the meeting of the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov with the first vice-president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Jürgen Rigterink.

The successful relations of Azerbaijan with the EBRD in various directions were emphasized at the meeting, and information was provided about the socio-economic priorities of our country. It was noted that there are wide opportunities for cooperation in the direction of realizing the set development goals. Steps to be taken in order to implement priority projects in "green" economy, energy, especially renewable and alternative energy, private sector development, infrastructure and other directions were discussed in this context with the Bank.

The first vice-president of the EBRD, Jürgen Rigterink, pointed out the effective cooperation of the Bank with our country and expressed the intention of the institution to continue supporting the development of the economy of Azerbaijan, that the economic potential of Azerbaijan creates a favorable basis for the expansion of relations.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of Azerbaijan-EBRD relations, implemented joint projects and opportunities for expanding cooperation.
