AIH CEO attends the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of EBRD in Samarkand

The CEO of  Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH), Ruslan Alikhanov, is attending the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the Annual Meeting, he participated as a panelist during a special session dedicated to investment opportunities of Azerbaijan, held on May 16 and attended by high-level officials, foreign investors, and representatives of international organizations. He answered a number of questions regarding the reforms in the field of corporate governance implemented by AIH in its portfolio companies, the progress made, and the positive outcomes achieved so far. At the end of the session, Ruslan Alikhanov and Catarina Bjorlin Hansen, the EBRD Regional Director for the Caucasus, signed a Letter of Support endorsing the EBRD's decision to provide a loan with no sovereign guarantee to the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), a portfolio company of AIH, for the renewal of its fleet.

Ruslan Alikhanov also took part in a number of bilateral meetings during the event.
